Authorities have identified the person killed in a crash at Oates Rd in Garland, TX on November 22nd, 2023. Police say the incident happened around 12:02 a.m. According to investigators, an Infiniti G35, operated by 21-year-old Zachary Newberry, was allegedly headed eastbound on West Oates Rd at the time. Reports allege that, for unconfirmed reasons, the vehicle struck a nearby curb before veering down an embankment on the south side of the road and overturning. The vehicle struck a pair of wooden fence posts supporting a road sign before continued to rot into a center median. Officials say Newberry was ejected from the vehicle as it rolled and suffered fatal injuries at the scene. Additional information was not available.
