Texas Department of Public Safety officials are investigating a crash that injured a person at River Rd in Wichita County, TX on August 15th, 2022. Police say the incident happened around 8:54 p.m. Police say a Toyota 4Runner operated by 40-year-old Benjamin Omwando was headed southeast on Pecanway Dr when it entered into an intersection at River Road, colliding with a Ford Taurus operated by 23-year-old Zackary Bayer. The collision caused Bayer to suffer serious injuries. Omwando was not injured and officers recommended and/or issued a DWI charge.
