What Happened

Texas Department of Public Safety officials are investigating a crash that investigating a crash that injured a driver at State Hwy 7 in Houston, TX on April 25th, 2022. Police say the incident happened around 7:34 a.m. According to investigators, a tractor trailer operated by a 55-year-old Grapeland man was headed westbound on Hwy 7 as a Chevrolet Colorado operated by 29-year-old Zackary David Stone was headed eastbound. Police say the commercial truck veered from its lane and took faulty evasive action while attempting to correct back onto the road, sliding into an eastbound lane and colliding with the Chevrolet. Stone suffered serious injuries in the collision. The truck driver was not injured and reports indicate a Failure to Drive in Single Lane charge was issued.
