What Happened

Authorities have information on a crash that killed a motorcyclist at Palm Valley Blvd in Round Rock, TX on March 5th, 2024.  Officials are saying the incident happened around 5:33 a.m. According to investigators, a Kia Forte was eastbound on Palm Valley Blvd, turning left into a private parking lot. In the process, reports say the vehicle struck a westbound motorcycle, operated by 31-year-old Zane Schaeffer. Schaffer was hospitalized with injuries that he later died from while the other driver, who was not publicly identified, had possible injuries. Authorities had no additional details available.
