What Happened

Texas Department of Public Safety officials are investigating a crash that injured two people at Business 290 in Prairie View, TX on March 4th, 2022. Police say the incident happened around 9:09 p.m. According to investigators, a Kia Optima operated by a 21-year-old male was headed westbound on Business 290 while a Toyota Corolla operated by 21-year-old Zion Raven Henderson was headed eastbound. Police say the Corolla was making a u-turn when the Optima collided with the passenger side of the Corolla. Henderson and his 20-year-old passenger both suffered serious injuries. The other driver was not injured and records indicate he was charged with Driving While Intoxicated and Intoxication Assault with a Vehicle Causing Serious Bodily Injury.
