What Happened

Utah Highway Patrol officials have details pertaining to a crash that seriously injured the driver at I-15 near Cedar City, UT on August 3rd, 2021. Police are saying it happened around 6:30 a.m. A semi-truck was reported by a witness to have veered left from the road into and over a concrete barrier under unclear circumstances. The truck caught fire just after the driver was able to climb to safety. He was then transported to an area hospital for injuries believed to be serious. Police say that he was wearing his seatbelt and that no other vehicles were involved. Additional information was not available.
