What Happened

State Police are investigating a multi-vehicle crash that killed at least eight people at I-15 in Millard County, UT on July 25th, 2021. Police say the incident happened when 22 vehicles were involved in a multi-vehicle collision that occurred during a sand storm which caused limited visibility. 10 people were hospitalized while 8 were killed. Police later identified the deceased as 37-year-old Race Sawyer, 30-year-old Kortni Sawyer, 12-year-old Rider Sawyer, Kortni's son Riggins and 2-year-0ld daughter Franki, 51-year-old Richard Lorenzon, 47-year-old Maricela Lorenzon and 15-year-old Cameron Valentine.
