State Police are investigating a crash that injured a driver at I-89 in Waterbury, VT on July 31st, 2024. Police say the incident happened around 8:30 a.m. According to investigators, a dump truck traveling southbound is said to have lost control after striking a tire that was left in the roadway by a tractor-trailer. Police say the dump truck overturned, trapping 19-year-old driver, Savion Thibou, in the vehicle. Upon being freed, authorities say Thibou was hospitalized with suspected serious injuries.
