Virginia State Police are investigating a collision that killed a driver at Route 220 in Botetourt County, VA on March 19th, 2025. Police say the incident happend around 5:30 p.m. According to investigators, a Ford F-750 and Hyundai Kona headed southbound were involved in a collision when part of the Ford detached from the vehicle, striking the Hyundai. Officials say the incident left 44-year-old Hyundai operator, Chad Hunter Ferguson, fatally injured. Authorities did not have any additional information available.
