What Happened

Area authorities are investigating a crash that killed a man at Bowling Green Bypass in Caroline County, VA on January 16th, 2024. Police say the incident happened around 9:50 a.m. According to investigators, a tractor-trailer operated by 37-year-old Vincent Alan Quade is alleged to have collided with the rear of three vehicles stopped ahead. Reports say the tractor-trailer allegedly failed to control its speed prior to the collision, which left two people involved with injuries said to be n0n-life-threatening in nature. Reports also say a third individual, identified as 69-year-old Hulon L. Willis, Jr, was killed in the collision. Sources indicate Quade was arrested on an Involuntary Manslaughter charge.
