What Happened

State Police charged a driver in connection with a crash at I-95 in Hanover County, VA on March 23rd, 2022. They say it happened just before 4 p.m. and involved a passenger vehicle operated by 22-year-old Lauren Ott losing control and skidding into a tractor-trailer. The vehicle became partially wedged under the truck and Ott required emergency extrication. Police say Ott suffered non-life-threatening injuries while the truck driver, 31-year-old Elione Sengabo, was not injured. Sengabo was cited for driving a truck in the left lane while Ott was charged with reckless driving with failure to maintain control of a vehicle.
