Area authorities are investigating a crash that killed a driver at I-495 and Braddock Rd in Annandale, VA on November 30th, 2022. Police say the incident happened around 7:53 p.m. According to police, tractor-trailer and sedan were involved in a collision that occurred under unclear circumstances. Police say the truck driver exited the truck and was in the process of attempting to cross the express lanes before he was struck by a northbound SUV. The collision left the driver, Rich Alburger, with serious injuries he later died from at an area hospital. Additional information was not immediately available.
