State Police are investigating a crash that killed a woman at I-64 at Granby St in Norfolk, VA on September 15th, 2021. Police say the incident happened around 2:44 a.m. A Ford Fusion was reportedly traveling at a high rate of speed when it made a sudden lane change and veered from the road. It then crashed into a Jersey wall and overcorrected, eventually crashing into a parked street sweeper. A passenger in the vehicle, 21-year-old Samantha Leigh Sims, suffered fatal injuries. The driver was hospitalized with serious injuries. Additional information was not immediately available.
