What Happened

State Police are investigating a crash that injured two teens at Route 29 in Pittsylvania, VA on January 26th, 2022. Police say the incident happened around 8:57 a.m. A school bus headed southbound on Route 29 is said to have failed to stop at a red light and collided with a Ford F-150 at an intersection. The 17-year-old and 18-year-old girls in the vehicle suffered minor injuries and were treated at the scene. The driver of the bus, 70-year-old Virgil L Clay, was charged with failing to obey a traffic signal. The 50-year-old driver of the F-150, Christopher W. Lovern, was not injured.
