What Happened

Area authorities are investigating a crash that killed a person at US Hwy 101 in Grays Harbor County, WA on October 21st, 2021. Police say the incident happened around 7:19 a.m. A Kenworth logging truck operated by 19-year-old Derrick Beebe reportedly crossed a centerline and overturned into northbound lanes, striking a Nissan Xterra operated by 51-year-old Eduardo T Barrios Saquiche. Saquiche died at the scene. His two passengers 30-year-old Luis Barrios Saquiche and 40-year-old Elmer Mejia Barrios, also died. Beebe was not injured. Investigators say drugs and alcohol were not considered to have played factors in the crash. Additional information was not immediately available.
