State Police are investigating a multi-vehicle crash that killed two people at I-94 in St Croix County, WI on October 23rd, 2023. Police say the incident involved a semi-truck allegedly failing to control its speed and colliding with the rear of a row of vehicles slowing in traffic. The impact created a fire on impact and two people involved were killed. One victim was identified as 45-year-old James Shearer, who was in the first vehicle that was struck.
