Polk County Sheriff's Office authorities are investigating a crash that killed one person at US Hwy 8 and State Hwy 46 in Polk County, WI on July 12th, 2023. Police say the incident happened around 3:37 p.m. According to investigators, a passenger vehicle headed eastbound is alleged to have performed a left turn into the path of a westbound semi-truck before both vehicles collided. The driver of the passenger vehicle, identified as 28-year-old Joshua Nelson, was hospitalized with injuries they later died from. The semi-truck driver was not injured, according to police.
