What Happened

Wyoming State Highway Patrol officials have identified an individual killed in a collision on I-80 near Wamsutter, WY on April 3rd, 2023. Police named 45-year0old Kirby Lugg and 41-year-old Edgar Echeverria is the two people killed. Investigators are saying a vehicle operated by Echeverria was traveling westbound before losing control and overturning in a median. There is where is struck Lugg, who was working to remove a disabled vehicle and attach it to a tow truck. Lugg and the driver of the disabled vehicle were taken to an area hospital where Lugg was later pronounced dead from his injuries. Echeverria died at the scene. Additional details have not been made available.
