What Happened

Wyoming Highway Patrol officials are investigating a crash that killed at least one person at US Hwy 89 in Lincoln County, WY on April 11th, 2023. Police say the incident happened just after 3 p.m. Officers allege a Toyota Rav4 headed southbound was attempting to perform a turn onto eastbound US Hwy 30. While doing so, the vehicle was struck by a semi-truck headed westbound. One person was ejected from the passenger side of the Toyota as the semi-truck overturned onto its side. 24-year0old Steffany Bolivar Velasquez suffered fatal injuries in the crash. Three others involved were injured. Additional information was not immediately available.
