What Happened

Texas Department of Public Safety officials are investigating a crash that injured a driver at FM 1281 in Socorro, TX on May 19th, 2022. Police say the incident happened around 9:50 p.m. According to investigators, a commercial truck operated by a 25-year-old Mexico man was headed southbound on Horizon Blvd waiting to turn eastbound on Gateway East Blvd as a motorcycle operated by 21-year-old Daniel Alejandro Medina was waiting at the light before it began to turn northbound. It was then struck by the truck, causing Medina minor injuries. The Mexico man was not injured and cited for Failure to Yield.
