What Happened

Texas Department of Public Safety officials are investigating a crash that injured two people at Lara Franklin Ave and 18th St in Waco, TX on May 18th, 2022. Police say the incident happened around 1:53 p.m. According to investigators, a commercial truck operated by a 25-year-old Chilton man was headed southbound on S 18th St as it approached Franklin Ave. Police say several vehicles were stopped at a red light before the truck ran the red light and veered into a Nissan Sentra operated by 42-year-old Enrique Mansias Lara and Volkswagen Jetta operated by 24-year-old Tasha Ann Presley. Lara suffered minor injuries as didthe 55-year-old driver of a Lexus involved. The Chilton man was not injured.
