What Happened

Nebraska State Patrol are investigating a collision that killed a father and son at I-80 in Lincoln, NE on September 7th, 2021. Police say it happened when a big rig operated by 50-year-old Yokrwind Crawford collided with a car operated by Mark Kaipust. The collision killed Kaipust and his 7-year-old son, Taylor. Crawford's truck continued straight for over a mile after the collision, hitting multiple other vehicles in the process. Crawford was charged with Motor Vehicle Homicide and Reckless Driving.
