What Happened

Texas Department of Public Safety officials have identified the person killed in a crash at State Hwy 94 in Trinity County, TX on October 21st, 2021. Police say the incident happened around 6:05 a.m. A Mack truck hauling tree logs reportedly failed to yield right of way leading to two pickup trucks colliding with the truck. 47-year-old Vernon Groze died at the scene. The driver of the other truck, 38-year-old Bradley McMullen, was hospitalized with undisclosed injuries. The Mack truck driver, 54-year-old Richard Ellis, was not injured.
