What Happened

Utah Highway Patrol officials have identified the person killed in a crash at  Route 179 in Grantsville, UT on November 6th, 2021. They say the incident happened around 4:16 a.m. and involved a Dodge Durango traveling though the intersection with Route 179 and I-80. Officials say the Dodge failed to stop before turning left and was t-boned at the intersection by a northbound cement truck. The driver of the Dodge, 61-year0old Oscar Villegas, suffered fatal injuries. The cement truck driver was hospitalized with minor injuries. Additional information was not immediately available.
