What Happened

Texas Department of Public Safety officials are investigating a crash that injured a driver at Herring Ave in Waco, TX on November 13th, 2021. Officials say the incident happened around 4:36 a.m. An Infiniti G35 operated by 33-year-old Jose Luis Balderas is said to have been traveling in the wrong direction on a one-way street as a Honda CR-V was headed westbound on Herring. Investigators say the Honda collided with the Infiniti after the Infiniti did not yield to cross traffic. The Infiniti then collided with a stationary Mazda CX-5. Neither the Honda or Mazda driver were injured. Balderas is said to have sustained serious injuries and reports indicate DWI charges were filed.
