What Happened

State Troopers have information on a crash that killed a person at Snow Rd in Mobile County, AL on December 7th, 2021. Police say the incident happened just before 9 p.m. A Ford F-150 operated by 40-year-old Claude Russell was towing a Ford F-550 when the to strap connecting the vehicle detached. The F-550 was sent veering across the road before it collided with a Honda Odyssey in a northbound lane. Front seat passenger, 38-year-old Jeremy Purvis, was killed in the collision. Four others were injured. Investigators say Russell left the scene after the incident without stopping and was later arrested. Reports indicate he has been charged with leaving the scene of an accident with death.
