What Happened

Texas Department of Public Safety officials are investigating a crash that killed three people at US Hwy 287 in Anderson County, TX on January 22nd, 2022. Officials say the incident happened around 11 p.m. A Chevrolet Tahoe operated by 37-year-old Walter Melgar is believed to have veered from the road for unknown reasons while headed southbound. The vehicle then overturned several times and ejected all three occupants, including Melgar. His passengers were identified as 21-year-old Gregory Gonzales and 21-year-old A. Rehman Khan. The three were pronounced dead at the scene and additional information was not available.
