What Happened

Texas Department of Public Safety officials are confirmed the death of a driver in a crash at I-20 in Howard County, TX on November 18th, 2021. They say it occurred around 2:27 p.m. A Toyota Camry operated by 32-year-old Jacob Keith Bingham was headed westbound on the south service road as a tractor-trailer operated by a 34-year-old Midland man was headed eastbound on I-20. Police say the tractor-trailer took the 181B exit ramp and collided with the Toyota, which they believe failed to yield to exit ramp traffic. The Toyota reported attempted to swerve right to avoid the collision prior to the incident and said the impact pushed the vehicle into a north barrow ditch. Bingham suffered fatal injuries in the crash. The truck driver was uninjured.
