What Happened

Houston Police are investigating a crash that killed a person at Pierce St in Houston, TX on October 15th, 2021. Police say the incident happened around 10:12 p.m. and involved a Kia Forte and Volkswagen Tiguan. Investigators allege the Volkswagen, operated by Timoteo Arteaga, ran a stop sign at the intersection with St Emanuel St and collided with a Kia Forte occupied by 30-year-old Adrian Heyden Casares. The collision caused Casares fatal injuries while a passenger in the Volkswagen was seriously injured. Arteaga, who police allege was intoxicated at the time of the crash, suffered minor injuries. Reports indicate Arteaga was charged with Intoxication Manslaughter.
