What Happened

California Highway Patrol officials are investigating a crash that killed four people at I-5 in Fresno County, CA on March 2nd, 2022. Police say the incident happened around 9:30 a.m. Police say the crash involved a minivan colliding with the rear of an 18-wheeler that was parked in the shoulder. Four people, two of whom were identified as 43-year-old Lute Katalina Fekitoa and 25-year-old Naomi Cook, were killed. Three others, two of whom were identified as 52-year-old Maikolo Fekitoa and 37-year-old Henry Cook, were hospitalized with serious injuries. Additional information was not immediately available.
