Texas Department of Public Safety officials are investigating a crash that killed two people at Hwy 36 in Burleson County, TX on March 4th, 2022. Officials say the incident happened around 6:20 p.m. A Ford passenger car headed northbound was reportedly attempting to pass vehicles in a southbound lane when it collided with a Hyundai passenger vehicle. The driver of the Ford, identified as 29-year-old Michael Piper and the driver of the Hyundai, 29-year-old Roykeisha Burnette, suffered fatal injuries. A passenger in the Hyundai was ejected from the vehicle and hospitalized with serious injuries. Additional information was not immediately available.
