What Happened

Texas Department of Public Safety officials are investigating a crash that injured a driver at TX 199 in Azle, TX on March 4th, 2022. Police say the incident happened around 12:47 a.m. According to investigators, a Mazda 6 operated by 56-year-old Marcelo Diaz was headed eastbound on Hwy 199 when it veered into a guardrail. Police say the vehicle then attempted to correct back onto the road, lost control and veered back into the guardrail. Diaz suffered serious injuries and records indicate a DWI charge was issued.
