State Police are investigating a crash that killed a man at MD Route 17 in Frederick, MD on June 17th, 2022. Police say the incident happened around 3 a.m. According to investigators, a vehicle operated by 33-year-old Jordan Scott Maddocks was headed westbound on I-70 prior to colliding with a deer in the roadway. Police say Maddocks pulled his vehicle over and exited to check on the vehicle before he was struck by an approaching tractor-trailer. He suffered fatal injuries at the scene. The truck driver and three passengers in the car were not injured. Additional information was not available.
