What Happened

State Police are investigating a multi-vehicle crash that left two people dead at I-80 in Morris, IL on August 12th, 2022. They say the incident happened around 4:52 p.m. According to authorities, a Toyota Corolla is said to have collided with rear of a commercial truck, causing the Toyota to lose control and travel through a center median. The vehicle ended up in the eastbound lanes, striking another truck. The truck in turn veered across a center median into the westbound lanes and hit another truck. The driver and passenger of the Toyota died in the collision. No one else involved was injured. Additional details were not available.
