What Happened

Texas Department of Public Safety officials are investigating a crash that injured two people at US 57 in La Pryor, TX on September 27th, 2022. Police say the incident happened around 3:27 p.m. According to investigators, a Dodge Avenger operated by a 36-year-old La Pryor woman was headed eastbound on Hwy 57. A Dodge Ram 1500 operated by 28-year-old Oscar Moreno was headed southbound. The Avenger is alleged to have traveled into the intersection with Parish Ave as the Ram approached a posted stop sign. Officers allege the Dodge Ram failed to yield at the stop sign and traveled into the intersection, colliding. Both drivers were injured and a Failure to Yield Right of Way at Stop Intersection charge was recommended.
