What Happened

Area authorities are investigating a crash that injured a driver at State Hwy 3 in La Marque, TX on April 2nd, 2023. Police say the incident happened around 12:51 a.m. Investigators say a Porsche Panamera operated by a 54-year-old Galveston man was headed southbound, allegedly disregarding a red traffic signal. The vehicle collided with an eastbound Nissan Altima operated by 21-year-old Jacob Rhodes. Police say Rhodes suffered injuries believed to be serious in nature. The Galveston was not injured, according to police. Officers recommended an Intoxication Assault charge.
