Area authorities have confirmed the names of the people killed in a crash at FM 181 in Ector County, TX on August 11th, 2023. Police say the incident happened around 6:50 a.m. According to investigators, a Chevrolet Silverado headed southbound is alleged to have veered into a northbound lane before colliding head-on with a GMC Sierra. Two people in the GMC, identified as 31-year-old Irving Cortez Morales and 25-year-old passenger, Alexis Rodriguez Alvidrez, died at the scene. A third occupant, identified as 41-year-old Luis Cortez, was hospitalized with undisclosed injuries. The driver of the Chevrolet, identified a s41-year-old Fabio Javier Cubillos, was hospitalized with undisclosed injures. Additional information was not available.
