What Happened

Authorities are investigating a crash that injured a driver at Pierce St and 10th Ave in Amarillo, TX on May 27th, 2024. Police say the incident happened around 3:05 a.m. According to investigators, a Ford Mustang was eastbound on 10th Ave before  colliding with a southbound Chrysler 300. The impact is said to have caused the Ford operator to be ejected from the vehicle while the Chrysler collided with a neat traffic signal pole. Police allege the Chrysler may have run a red light prior to the collision, which left the 33-year-old driver of the Chrysler seriously injured. The driver of the Ford was allegedly uninjured.
