Authorities in Gaines County, TX, are investigating a three-vehicle crash that occurred on March 11, 2025, at approximately 6:22 a.m. on US Highway 385. A Peterbilt truck tractor was traveling northwest when it crossed the median and collided at an angle with a Chevrolet Cruze traveling north. A third vehicle, a semi-trailer, was also involved. The 26-year-old driver of the Chevrolet sustained suspected serious injuries, and his 43-year-old male passenger sustained minor injuries. The 74-year-old driver of the Peterbilt was uninjured but cited for crossing a physical barrier and failing to use warning devices.
