What Happened

State Police are investigating a crash that killed at least two people at Hwy 167 in Sheridan, AR on January 6th, 2023. Authorities say it happened around 3:25 a.m. and involved a Dodge Ram 3500 and Dodge Promaster van. The Ram was headed southbound on Hwy 167 while the van was starling northbound. Officers believe the Ram crossed a center turn lane and collided with the van under unclear circumstances. The driver of the van, identified as 61-year-old Randy Burks, was killed. Also killed was a passenger in the Ram, identified as 27-year-old Dawson Whitmire. The driver of the Ram, identified as 32-year-old Blake Wimberly, had undisclosed injuries. Officers did not disclose additional details.
