What Happened

State Police are investigating a collision that killed a person at US Hwy 165 in Lonoke County, AR on December 28th, 2021. Police say the incident happened around 4 p.m. A Hyundai passenger car operated by 20-year-old Lanecia Nelson was headed eastbound when it reportedly crossed a center line. It then collided with a westbound tractor-trailer and the truck overturned after veering from the south side of the roadway. Nelson suffered fatal injuries while a child passenger was hospitalized in critical condition. Additional information was not immediately available.
