What Happened

Authorities are investigating a crash that killed a man at Hwy 152 and Rd 9 in Madera County, CA on January 11th, 2024. Police say the incident happened around 6 a.m. According to investigators, a tractor-trailer headed southbound on Rd 9 was crossing the intersection when it was struck by a an oncoming vehicle. Cargo from the truck is said to have spilled onto the roadway, creating a hazard for other vehicles who also became involved in the crash. The driver of the vehicle that stuck the tractor-trailer suffered fatal injuries at the scene. One other person involved is said to have suffered minor injuries.
