What Happened

California Highway Patrol officials released the names of the two people killed in a semi-truck crash on Hwy 135 in Orcutt, CA on February 7th, 2019. 60-year-old Rickie Motley and 24-year-old Jesse Donald Gluyas were killed in the crash. Police say the accident occurred when a semi-truck lost control and crashed into several stopped vehicles. Motley and Gluyas were in the same vehicle. Others involved suffered minor injuries. Police later charged Gil Pena with two counts of vehicular homicide.
