Florida Highway Patrol officials have information on a collision that killed a bicyclist at I-595 in Davie, FL on May 5th, 2023. Police say the incident happened around 5:15 a.m. According to investigators, an 83-year-old male was operating a mountain bike in or near a southbound lane of travel. Police say the area was not available for use for pedestrians or cyclists. A southbound garbage truck collided with the cyclist under unclear circumstances.
