What Happened

Area authorities are investigating a crash that killed three people at US 27 and Hwy 5 in Roopville, GA on October 9th, 2023. Police say the incident happened around 8:45 p.m. According to investigators, a Lincoln Towncar was traveling northbound in southbound lanes before striking a Mazda Miata and Chevrolet Cruze. The collision is said to have cause the vehicle to catch fire and at least one of the vehicles to overturn. The drivers of all three vehicles suffered fatal injuries at the scene.
