What Happened

Authorities are investigating a multi-vehicle crash that injured as many as five people at Indiana Toll Rd and Notre Dame in South Bend, IN on April 23rd, 2024. Police say the incident happened around 8 p.m. According to investigators, a minivan was slowing down in order to exit the roadway when it was rear-ended by a box truck. The impact is said to have caused the van to strike a guardrail before re-entering the roadway and striking other vehicles. Authorities say five people involved were injured and had no additional information available.
