What Happened

Area authorities are investigating a crash that killed a person at Baldwin Ave in Marion, IN on August 29th, 2022. Police say the incident happened around 10:13 p.m. According to investigators, a Baodiao moped operated by 29-year-old Sharice Bilbee was headed southbound on Baldwin Ave as a semi-truck headed eastbound on Fourth Street. As the moped approached the intersection with Fourth Street, investigators allege the semi-truck ran a red light and collided with the moped, which had right of way. Bilbee suffered fatal injuries at the scene. The truck driver was not injured. Additional details were not available.
