What Happened

Area authorities have information on a crash that injured a teen at 7th Ave and US 41 in Terre Haute, IN on January 19th, 2023. Police say the incident happened round 6:39 p.m. According to investigators, a box truck is believed to have failed to yield to a passenger vehicle at the intersection. The two vehicles collided, trapping the 16-year-old driver of the passenger vehicle. After freeing the teen, she was taken to an area hospital by officials for treatment of serious injuries. The other driver was not injured and arrested on a potential charge of operating a vehicle while intoxicated.
