What Happened

Kansas Highway Patrol officials are investigating a crash that killed a person at US Hwy 160 in Grant County, KS on September 18th, 2022. Police say the incident happened around 3 p.m. and involved a pair of semi-trucks colliding. Investigators believe a struck operated by 39-year-old Vernal Lattimore was headed westbound prior to slowing to make a turn onto Hwy 190 when it was struck in the rear by the second truck, operated by 74-year-old James Wilson. Wilson was taken to an area hospital for treatment of injuries he later died from. Lattimore was not injured. Additional information was not not immediately available.
