What Happened

Kansas State Police are investigating a crash that killed a man at US 24 and Stone Creek Dr in Tonganoxie, KS on August 24th, 2021. Police say the incident happened around 9:36 a.m. A motorcycle headed eastbound on State Ave collided with a dump truck that exited a construction site and made a u-turn at the Stone Creek Drive intersection against a red light. The motorcycle attempted evasive action bit was unable to avoid colliding with the side of the dump truck. The motorcyclist, 24-year-old William Guthrie, was hospitalized with injuries that he later died from.
